i have left every social media apart from facebook, i am going to continue using this forum and posting when vidcandy becomes a thing. Purple Umbrella if you look at this reply im thinking of coming back to escargot but im taking things slowly.

i do tend to prefer smaller websites and social media platforms especially because social media is just a bunch of drama. so i understand where youre coming from. i will be working hard on vidcandy this year!

I find myself drifting further from social media as time goes on, and it all gets worse. Social media was, I think rather accidentally, a place where you could stumble upon really bizarre and interesting things. Now it is a very large blender that you are asked to stick your head into. Ideally, it will all wither away and the good parts (basically just archiving and search functionality) will be carried on while the awful parts will be left behind (basically everything else and also JavaScript). More practically it will exist in perpetuity in one form or another as a cancer on the web, and alternate forms of communication will exist outside it.
